Amazon can't tell you that you've already purchased this book because it doesn't recognize the new title. I bought this book TWICE and only realized it after I started reading the new book under the new name! How many other people did that without realizing it? That feels like the readers in this genre are being taken advantage of by the author. Yeah, it's says in the description that it was "Previously published with a different publisher" but it should say that it was done so under a different title and list that title so fans don't double purchase. Andy story about cyborgs is usually interesting. This story about a cyborg named Lyon and a human named Samara was no different. Unfortunately, the storyline was a bit skimpy, with the seduction happening shortly after the first few pages, quickly followed by a kidnapping and more sex. The author relies heavily on the panting and moaning of sex to fill in the blanks of the short storyline. There is the usual crisis where the heroine is disbelieve but redeems herself and then is injured. All ends well with a happy ending and more sex. The author missed her opportunity to develop the characters in the story. But they, like the rest of the story, are fairly superficial. However, for mindless entertainment, the story will due.
Take a strong, sexy Cyborg, add a sassy, determined human and a dangerous opponent and you've got the makings of a red hot, steamy adventure. Captured by the Fleet, Leo class Cyborg Lyon is drawn to Fleet Nurse Samara. The attraction is mutual. When the opportunity to escape presents itself, the only bounty Lyon asks for is Samara. Back on board the Cyborg ship, Samara meets the rest of the Cyborg crew...Cael, a Cancer class female Cyborg and twins Archon and Eoin, Gemini class Cyborgs.
Mina Carter has assembled a cast of characters that are interesting, entertaining and fun. This book is a quick read that leaves you wanting more, which I do. I can't wait until I read they next book in the Zodiac Cyborg series.
There's something to Mina Carter's latest edition of scifi romance books. The writing tight, face paced, the romance hot as hell. So much improved versus her earlier work (bodygaurd, lothar series). I like this new and improved Mina Carter, scifi romance writer. It's rare to find good SFR authors and I now put Mina on my top3 best favs.
However, I would like to request though. As a voracious reader of HEA romance stories, I can't help but to expect an epilogue. Somehow, readers crave a little bit more than just 'the end'. Would love for that little indulgent delicious and settled overreach please than just an abrupt ending, seeing our characters settled.

It had a big pet peeve of mine in it. SPOILER.......
On top of that, the male lead immediately jumps to "she betrayed me" when her birth control implanted up being a tracker that she was not aware of. These are suppose to be smart beings. No one thought to look for it before then. She has to almost die in the subsequent attack trying to save them all because the cyborgs have been rendered useless.
She quickly forgives him because he is so hawt, and she is so horny. Then for some reason the subject of him having sex with previous women comes. Why?!?! It was not needed.
Love these big bad cyborgs. A very good storyline with a strong heroin too. The characters were very hot. Loved it when they shot the guy in the butt, too funny.
I love this story! Samara is a strong-minded, independent thinking young woman. She doesn't do well with injustice, and it does get her into some trouble! Lyon enjoys his interlude with her and thinks he'll take her along for a short ride. Somehow, it doesn't work out as he thought. This is a fast paced space adventure with enough twists and turns to keep everyone white-knuckled! What a wild ride! And guess what? "She was his everything, his perfect match"
A quick, light read with plenty of hot, explicit sex. It's pretty much instalove and lust for the h/H; they waste no time getting down to business! Loved the rugged cyborg H who seems emotionless but is right away taken with the short and curvy human h. He makes a bit of a misstep, but that's understandable given his deep mistrust of humans. Wish there'd been more time in building the romance, but it was for sure a dirty-hot read with an instantly possessive H. Over his shoulder she goes. Might call it kidnapping, but he calls her "Mine." Ha!
